Here's what I'd like to see in the new Smackdown:

Bigger Roster:
Use the WWE licenses to get ECW, WCW, OVW stars, plus include as many WWE wrestlers as possible from past, present and future. Everyone they have a license to use, put in there!

Improved Create Mode:
Get rid of things like crotch blur, bring back in-game wrestler faces & attires so that we can recreate an in-game wrestler with updated attires/haircuts etc but maintain the same face quality. Better still, allow us to edit the in-game wrestlers by adding extra attires.
Also add even more parts. Better selection of hairstyles, and facial features, especially noses! We need more than one nose!
More parts for costumes, add every old logo/old wwf attire they can plus more simple patterns so we can make our own attires easier.

Layers/Slots:
Rather than having 32 CAW Slots, let us save as many CAWs as we like. Just allow the SVR save data to take up more room the more CAWs we add. Same with CAW layers.

Entrance/Music:
Add old WWF entrance movies and music. For example, we could create DX again, and have them come out to the DX entrance movie and music. Also add new original musics much like SVR did, and maybe even original entrances that could be used with any wrestler. That way we won't need to use 'Logo' all the time for an entrance.

Also add more original entrance moves. Give all the new moves, movies and sounds names. Don't call them Original 1, Original 2. Give it a name so we don't have to press square and wait for it to load before we see what it does.

Belts:
Make create a belt more advanced, so it's like CAW mode, and allow us to defend or challenge for a belt in PPV Mode, Exhibitions Mode, Story Mode, and Online. Not so much restriction.

Speaking of restriction:
Allow easy roster management. Let us change who the GM is, move wrestlers between RAW and Smackdown etc. Allow us to play as anyone in season and give the option of including other CAWs in season. Expand the season mode to go on longer than 1 year, and add even more variation. Allow you to make friends with other wrestlers, and enemies, and allow that to develop over the season. Let us interact and make our actions have consequences.

In-Game:
More counter-attacks. Let every move have a counter move. Remove restrictions on how many times you can use a weapon. Have a better system for injuries, ie. let us see that a wrestler is injured. When he falls from a hell in a cell, he should stay down for a while, not get straight back up. Wrestlers should get worn out during a fight, blood should drip onto clothes and tha ring apron. More detail would be nice. Allow for a better free-flowing match where moves come one after another, and animations are more realistic.

Announcers/Call Names:
Announcers should be able to say more names. In some games for example, if you put in Tom it would say Tom when you came out. This should be in Smackdown. Also they should allow you to choose existing wrestlers names from all federations and eras, plus in-game wrestlers. Failing any of that, at least give us some half-decent original call names

Winning Move:
Bring back winning moves so we can celebrate the end of a match. Also at the end bring up a menu to allow to choose options like:

Get beaten up by opponent
Beat opponent some more
Post-match interruption
Rematch
End match

Would make the end of a match more exciting.

Matches:
Add more match types such as casket match, buried alive match, texas bullrope match, 3 on 2 match etc. Maybe even allow you to make your own custom rules for a match. Also make existing matches more realistic. For example, you don't usually see people climb up the hell in a cell, push someone off it, fall off themselves, then both get up and do it again. We need more options and more realism.

I'm sure there's much much more I could think of, but those are the main things that spring to mind at the moment. Just thought I'd post what I think needs including, feel free to comment/add to it/or make your own similar post

Yeah I agree on the backstage thing, more backstage arenas are needed definitely, and lots of objects should be available to interact with. I did touch on the idea of edit a wrestler, when I said how we should be able to make new attires for them and stuff. Being able to edit the in-gamers would be awesome. I won't go into which wrestlers I want included, I just think that they should put in as many current wrrestlers as they possibly can, and then use the WWE's licenses to gain other wrestlers such as ex-WWE/F, legends, and possibly even WCW/ECW.


I've been trying to make a CAW on SVR this morning, he has a simple face, extremely simple hairstyle, a brown leather jacket and black trousers. Sounds easy right? Not atall! There's simply not enough in CAW mode. Every jacket I tried on sucked totally. You'd think you could get a decent variety of realistic jackets at least. The closest I could get with the trousers was light grey, because the ones set to light-grey only were the right type. All the rest looked too shiny and the colours went all crappy when you made them black. More variety needs to be brought into the clothes, and more details need to be easily customizable. Maybe even a jacket/pants builder? Maybe choose a jacket, then individually choose each part of it. Like collar size, collar colour, features, buttons or zips?, button size, open jacket or closed, how far open? Extra options like these would make it easier to customize clothing and make even more accurate CAWs. I'm sure that kind of feature wouldn't be difficult to implement for a lot of areas of the CAW system.

Another thing I found really crap was the hair! With all those different hairstyles you'd think at least one would suit! Every time I make a CAW, it doesn't matter who it is, no matter how simple or complicated their hairstyle is, you can never quite get the right one. The person's hair I was trying to get was a simple short, black hairstyle. Every hair in the game was either too little hair or too much. And what's with all those variations of pigtails and stupid haircuts, I've never seen anyone use them. Maybe a feature like I described for the jackets would allow us to create better hairstyles.

Now onto the face. This was surprisingly the most successful part of my CAW. It did actually look pretty good, though as always there was room for improvement. Now what is the point in allowing you to make the person have a smaller mouth, when the whole face moves in with it? They should have upper face width, lower face width, mouth width or something. Otherwise you either have to have a great mouth and a squashed up face, or a good face with a really wide mouth. Also what about the nose! Most people don't actually have that nose style, you should be able to either choose different nose styles or more fully customize the shape of it. Length and thickness isn't good enough, we need to be able to change the actual shape and style of the nose itself. For me, the nose is quite an important distinguishing feature in a person, and a CAW can never look quite right without the right nose.

Overall the CAW mode is pretty good already, but improvements like these can be made in all areas, we need better customization, and better choice of clothing. A lot of the options given, noone ever has or ever will use. Give us more realistic clothing, and design patterns, and better choice of facial features.

For those interested, the CAW I was trying to make was actually Christopher Eccleston as Dr. Who. You'd think he would be easy enough to do wouldn't you..

Just look at the simplicity of his clothes and his hair. It turns into a very complicated job when it comes to SVR. Yes I know he isn't a wrestler, but I've had the same types of problem creating wrestling CAWs, so that has nothing to do with it.

Comments welcome , and if anyone wants the CAW, I should be releasing it (or at least pics of it) later on today in the non-wrestling forum. Though as you may have gathered, the attire isn't particularly great. The face I'd give about 7/10 though.

My wishlist on the Draft Lottery if the we have a Draft Lottery in SVR2.

If they there ends being a Draft Lottery In Smackdown VS Raw 2 then we better be able to:

1: Hold more than 1 belt like we could in HCTP and not losing it like we did in SVR when we won another title.

2: Have the Champions of both brands not reseting to the Default Champions after Season Mode ends. It was possible in HCTP. (Unlike in SYM when it did reset.)

It would be cool having the champions you have for the titles still have those titles when you do another Draft Lottery after Season mode ends.

3: Have the ability to switch the wrestler we want to play as without having the Champions to reset to the Default Champions. It was possible in HCTP. (Unlike in SVR when it did reset.)

4: No Champions jumping from one roster to the other roster in any storylines other than the Draft Lottery and if the Champions are can't jump brands in any storylines other than in the Draft Lottery, then you won't have the Titles you didn't pick in the Draft Lottery on your show.

5: (This followd on from 4:)
Have a rule where you must have on your brand regardless if you have picked Raw, Smackdown or Customised Both Rosters:

Either the WWE or World Champion holder.
Either the US or IC holder.
Either the World Tag Team or WWE Tag Team holders.

And Finally either the Cruiserweight or Womens holder.

(Because of the Roster Split this is needed for having a customised rosters and using the rule would prevent someone from becoming eg. the Undisputed Champion on either brand or whoever is the Cruiserweight Champion from holding the other brand chosen titles that weren't picked in the Draft Lottery by the person playing Season Mode.)

By using the rule you could have eg. your Raw brand with the World Heavyweight Champion, the US Champion, World Tag Team Champions and the Cruiserweight Champion on it.

Then the Smackdown brand would then get:

The WWE Champion, IC Champion, WWE Tag Team Champions and the Womens Champion on it.

Other things that I would to see in SVR 2 are:

If CAB is in again then I would like to ability to be able to create Tag Team belts in CAB (Not everyone will want to just create single belts) and the ability to defend or challenge for a/a belt(s) in PPV if CAPPV returns.

Speaking about CAB I also would like to have the ability to be able to defend our single CABs in all matches except for Tag Team and 6 Man Tag styles matches (that inculded the Torando Tag matches).

For the Tag Team CABs I would the ability to be able to defend them in all 4 person Tag Team matches.

All Titles returning.

The return of the I Quit Match

Think about it for a second, a I Quit match together with the Tug Of War system would be interesting to see.

When creating a CAW I would like for us to have Hometown and weight callnames.

Bigger roster.

What I don't want to see are:
Voiceovers as they seriously limited SVR's season mode and the in-game roster.

i want to have actual titles that fit on caws wether they be cab or regular titles. i would like to be able to defend cab's in exhibition matches. Also I would like to have more options for matches as in how many people are in it and maybe even a customization feature for example make a tlc hiac match. Next I think there should be more areas to move around in for hardcore matches and destructible backgrounds ie if you break a table you can use part of it as a weapon also i think there should be more weapons such as kendo sticks, pipes, stop signs, mainly the kendo sticks. Next up the caw system, bring back the pre- made attires from hctp, newer hairstyles dont use the same crappy ones and have the option to change the legth of the hair on every hairstyle not just the long hair. Next I want the option that if I chose to have a six-pac for the abs then you can actually tell theres a six-pac there. Also make the attires for caws look exactly like the in-game wrestlers so it doesnt look like everthing on the caw isnt painted on. Get rid of all the spots that there are blur effects have the option to move the caw up and down so you can see the feet of the caw while your making it. And finally get rid of the limit of layers there is and if that can't be done at least put more layers. For the matches i'm not gonna say hey i want the casket match i want buried, alive match, i want bull rope match because basically they tried the casket match before and to be honest it was one of the most boring matches ever the way i see it is even if they do decide to use those matches they will lose their flare and fun factor after repeating the match so many times just like the parking lot brawl i mean you cant say that you didnt get bored with that match after doing everything that you can do in that match. So i'm just going to say if they do use those matches don't make them suck. Next bring the tag titles, cruiserweight, womens titles back to season and make the season longer. Also for the season make it so you start out in OVW then as you win matches and all that you get to move up to Velocity or Heat and then eventually be able to move up to Raw or Smackdown and then finally becoming a main eventer. Next if your going to have voiceovers have them for all of the wrestlers and have pre-made voiceovers for CAW's next have a different season for every superstar the season right now is just really annoying and repetitive. make the match flow together more easily. finally if this game sucks all i have to say is f k it i'm waitin for ps3 maybe that will be what it really needs
