I think it would be cool, but only if they stopped including them with SvR.
If they did it, though, it had to offer something different from SvR and something MUCH MORE than the Legends of Wrestling games.

Wow, that's a blanketed statement. It could very possibly be a cool game. The biggest selling point would be the implementation. A SvR clone with a Legends theme would suck, because I don't want to play the same game just with different guys. It would need like Legendary storylines for storymode, alternate attires for different gimmicks (like Legends of Wrestling), Legendary Arenas from different Wrestlemanias. Maybe WCW and ECW rings. Some spot on movesets. Legendary stables like The MegaPowers, the nWo, the Million Dollar Corporation, etc. Unlockable Wrestlecrap stuff like The Gobbledy Gooker, David Arquette, Shockmaster, etc. An excellent CAW system designed to help you create Legends that could not be included in the game. That's a game I would want to play.

cawstrio is right, the game would be crap. I mean what sorts of storylines would there be for legends anyways?

Another problem would be movesets. Would you want half the roster to consist of wrestlers from the mid-80s who had very slow-paced and dragging matches?

Another problem would be movesets. Would you want half the roster to consist of wrestlers from the mid-80s who had very slow-paced and dragging matches? Well, it would be a Legends game, so... yes. And there could be very cool Legends storylines. You could replay fueds between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant, or Hogan and Macho Man, Piper and Hogan, Macho Man and Ultimate Warrior, Hogan and Warrior vs. Slaughter and Iron Sheik, Undertaker and Roberts, Austin and Roberts, Austin and Hart, Austin and McMahon... not to mention an nWO storyline. There's a lot of things that can be done. And it could be done well. It's not the idea that's bad, it's the implementation that would be bad. And going back to the movesets, yes, the movesets would be limited, but a lot of those guys had diverse and interesting movesets as opposed to everybody doing half the same moves all the time these days. And you could have some of the more interesting stuff in the movelist, so you could give it to your CAW if you so chose. Like the Diva game idea that was going around. The real question isn't whether nobody would play it or whether people think it's a good idea, the question is how the game is implemented to make it unique and fun. That's what sells games. I think a Divas game and a Legends game would be very successful if implemented right. Why? Because the Divas have sex-appeal, which sells games, and the Legends have name and face recognition, which also sells games. So, all they would need is to do is make sure the game is actually worth playing and BOOM you have two very successful games. Honestly, THQ (which had a hit with Smackdown 2, then turned around and screwed up Just Bring It, then had a decent game in Shut Your Mouth, then had major success with Here Comes The Pain, then blew it with Smackdown Vs RAW and then blew us away with SvR2006) doesn't have the best track record at making games with excellent implementation, and so, while I think those games could be great, I wouldn't trust THQ to make them. That's really what it boils down to.

Yeah Sajoa Moe is correct on the movelists. There would only be basic moves like piledrivers, arm drags, leg drops, not alot of good looking top rope moves and other slow pace moves.
