comments on graphics

i thought graphics was all about how something looks , so if something looks good , its good , if something looks bad , its bad .

when people comment on a graphic saything something like its too simple , or its only adding sharpen , so what , its all about how it looks aint it ,

in my opinion graphics is all about looks , not how you make it . so next time you rate a graphic , dont say its simple because thats like saything your using the wrong program or something.

i say its just an opinion, like if you see a bg thats just blue or something, thats a plain bg if you ask me becuase theres nothing in it, just the color blue

gotta agree wit you here, when i first came to the board i was highly criticised because i didn follow "basic steps" but in my eyes they still looked good but its like contagious and i think i tend to do the same now

GFX is simple but people usually just throw something together about a subject they dont care about.
If you're gonna make a HHH sig then dont just give it a grungy BG, green overlay, 3 PSDs thrown in.
You have to portrait you'r subject in a way that compliments his/her/it's charecter.
Like when I try to make a Jeff hardy sig, I always try to use his late WWE pics because his paint an attire worked well with each other, so I try to portrait that in a artistic way.
